JB Straubel, Co-founder and CTO of Tesla Motors, Will Teach Stanford Students How to Build An Electric Car This Fall
  • JB Straubel, co-founder and CTO of Tesla Motors, will be teaching a course entitled "Energy Storage Integration" at Stanford University this Fall.
  • The course will discuss existing energy storage solutions used in the electric grid and in vehicles, with a focus on batteries and electrochemical storage.
  • Enrolled students will receive guest lectures from industry engineers, visit a Tesla factory, visit a Google EV charging facility, and play with a Tesla Model S.
  • Course enrollment is limited to 50 students. To enroll, a Stanford student must fill out a separate application and be accepted. The application asks about career aspirations, and lab experience.
